Little Lady Good Nectar as Leaf

I didn't want to be no stink'n leaf at the school costume ball. I fought with my mama and grandma about it! Things didn't set right with me until my auntie V came over with her
magical box of paint and glitter. She put eye sparkles and lip nectar on me and then applied
sun jelly on my arms and legs. I was as shinny as fist full of copper pennies!!! Auntie talked my Mama and grandma into letting me wear my hair in an afro and of course you know, I was a
SENSATION!!!!!! Mrs. Gooblepotter told me that she had never seen a leaf so bright in all her life and Mrs. Goolepotter has lived a very long time! I knocked them dead when I sang," I'm a Little Leaf, Please Don't Step On Me" Yeah! he he he he! Ain't I a stinker???

Little Lady-
You look simply fabulous!!! I think that's how it goes sometimes with the folks. They get you something and you don't know what they were thinking. Then a trusty relative, who knows so much better, helps you out. Love the fro!!!!!

YES YOU ARE! The cutest little stinker I've seen in a long time. This is a wonderful story, you were certainly a show stopper! Beautiful color and sparkle. I would have loved to have been there to witness your spectacular entrance.

Brava, Dahling!

Thanks so much ms. Delores Duckington Merifeather. I wish you could have been there. It's was a real show stopper indeed. I wore that stupid costume for more than 7 days. We knew something was wrong when it started to stick to me and I really started taking on a real leaf pattern. But grandma and mama knew just what to do! Smart woman they are... I can't remember the whole thing cause I fainted at one point. Things still a little blurry even after all these years. No one has the courage to tell me what happen. Maybe I don't even want to know.
